Why we do what we do

There is a housing shortage. It has been around for decades & is unlikely to change in the near future. The pandemic has changed the face of the High street and many previously office based work practices for ever. Empty High street shops, offices and light industrial units present an opportunity for redevelopment, thanks to recent government changes to planning laws. We are passionate about seeing redeveloped thriving communities. We aim to give a new lease of life to the such areas and beyond, by repurposing these units to meet local housing demand.

As a property developer, our ultimate goal is to deliver asset protected returns to our investors. Our strategy is to look to residential development and our teams’ expertise is in knowing how best to repurpose buildings, to achieve this. Successful developments, thriving communities.

Having always been involved in small independent family run businesses, we appreciate that ‘one a size fits all’ approach isn’t always the best approach. Having previously run an award winning team, we fully understand that a cohesive team achieves more. We only work with a select group of Architects, Cost Consultants, Engineers and Planners and Surveyors who share our values & goals. We are flexible in our approach, yet will not be happy with ‘good enough’. We aim to build homes that we would love to live in too.

What does energy efficient look like

Creating beautiful energy efficient homes is more than just a dream, it’s a necessity. We are committed to reducing the ongoing environmental impact our development projects have on the local environment and the wider planet. We will fit solar panels with battery storage where possible, low energy lighting & A rated appliances & Energy efficient heating in all our projects. In doing so our homes are cheaper to run, saving the future owners money whilst making us all greener at the same time!

Glass and Glass Holdings was founded in 2022 to provide a fresh approach to property development, to bring back to life older buildings & create wonderful, healthy homes.

Passionate about creating energy efficient, sustainable family homes, we love to repurpose old housing into fresh homes fit for the 21st century and beyond.

Specialising in individual, high quality developments from period conversions and restorations to modern new builds, best suiting the location and heritage of the area, we work in a totally transparent way to guarantee each project is delivered on time and on budget.

Typically our projects are in the East Midlands and range from small single residential properties to new builds and commercial conversions.
